Karen joined The Sensory Studio in October 2020 and plays a key role in managing insurance authorizations, helping families access the speech and occupational therapy services their children need. She works closely with both providers and caregivers to navigate the often complex insurance process, ensuring a smoother experience from start to finish.

Karen brings a diverse professional background to her role. After working in various positions early in her career, she chose to step away from the workforce in 2004 to focus on raising her daughter. During that time, she developed a deep appreciation for child development and the importance of supportive, family-centered care. Prior to joining The Sensory Studio, Karen worked as a real estate agent, where she strengthened her organizational, communication, and client service skills.

Her personal and professional experiences allow her to approach her role with empathy, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to supporting families throughout their therapy journey. Outside of work, Karen enjoys hiking, cooking, and spending time with her daughter, family, and friends.
