Kayla received a Bachelor of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from St. John’s University. From there, she graduated from Kean University with a Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology.Kayla is a clinical fellow at The Sensory Studio on track to receive her certificate of clinical competency from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) in 2023. She holds a Standard Certification of Speech Language Specialist for New Jersey’s Department of Education and is applying for her Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities initial certification. Her clinical experiences include being an outpatient at Richmond University Medical Center, Kean University’s Center for Communication, and a public elementary school. From these settings, Kayla gained experience with individuals across the lifespan with various diagnoses but always maintained a passion for working with the pediatric population. Kayla strives for individualized intervention that motivates her clients and is eager to continue developing her clinical skill set in the collaborative work environment fostered at The Sensory Studio. Kayla is honored to present research focused on interprofessional titled “Exploring Clinical Perspectives of Interprofessionalism Among Outpatient Clinicians” at the 2022 ASHA Convention. Outside of work, her hobbies include baking, crafting, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
