Occupational Therapist

Julia is born and raised in Staten Island, NY. She attended Seton Hall University and completed their 3+3 Master of Science in Occupational Therapy Program. She received her bachelor’s degree in Social and Behavioral Science with a minor in Social Work in 2020, then going on to complete her master’s degree for Occupational Therapy in 2022. Her high school and college experience involved many volunteer opportunities with special needs children and adults. During her graduate studies, Julia experienced working with both special needs children in D75 schools, as well as adults in both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation at NYU Langone Hospital and Hackensack Meridian Riverview Medical Center. Following graduation, Julia continued her passion working with the pediatric population in both private and public school settings, as well as outpatient facilities. She also has experience providing early intervention services. Julia values supporting children towards their goals, promoting them to be as independent as possible, and is very excited to bring her creativity and passion to the Sensory Studio.Isabella earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wagner College in 2021 and her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from CUNY Brooklyn College in 2024. She holds a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) certification. Through her graduate placements, Isabella gained experience treating clients across the lifespan—from early intervention to adults—in various settings, including private practices and schools. She has experience in addressing speech sound disorders, language delays/disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and providing functional communication training (FCT) with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). Isabella’s teaching philosophy emphasizes seeing the child before the diagnosis, focusing on each child’s unique strengths, interests, and personality. She is passionate about collaborating with families and empowering children to communicate effectively and confidently. Isabella began her journey at The Sensory Studio as an intern, then worked as office staff, and later completed her final externship here. She is excited to rejoin The Sensory Studio, this time as a clinician!
