Grace Reinertsen CF - SLP

Speech Language Pathologist

Grace is a born and raised Staten Islander hailing from West Brighton. Growing up, she enjoyed singing in choirs and performing in school musicals. Her first experience shadowing a Speech-Language Pathologist was during her senior year of high school. From that moment on, she knew this was the career for her! Grace obtained both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in communication sciences and disorders from SUNY Cortland. While there, she gained experience working with clients in a variety of settings, such as outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, elementary schools, and via telepractice. Grace has experience providing skilled speech services (screening, assessment, and treatment) to clients with a variety of diagnoses. These include motor speech disorders (e.g., childhood apraxia of speech), phonological disorders, articulation disorders, language delays and disorders, fluency disorders, dysarthria, dysphagia, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), cognitive-linguistic impairment, intellectual disability, hearing loss, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), and oppositional defiant disorder (ODD). While Grace enjoys working with clients of all ages, she has a special passion for working with the pediatric population. Grace is so excited to come back to her Staten Island roots and join the team here at The Sensory Studio!
