Maria obtained her Master’s Degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders from New York University. She also received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Brooklyn College. In addition, Maria holds a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) certificate from the New York State Education Department. Maria is a clinical fellow at The Sensory Studio working towards obtaining her Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Her graduate clinical experiences include working with the pediatric and geriatric population in a variety of settings such as New Jersey public school, Skilled Nursing Facility, and The Sensory Studio. Maria loved working with the staff and children at The Sensory Studio and was excited to join the team. Her passion for working with children first started when working as a paraprofessional in the NYC DOE public school setting working with special education students. Maria is eager to continue to learn and grow as a speech language pathologist at The Sensory Studio.
